My gripe to QRF...
As a maker of quality 15mm scale military miniatures, you have an amazing range of product of WWII, post war, and modern equipment. For this I am truly thankful for.
That being said however, there are some things that I would like to draw to your attention.
1: Quality Control: The QC of your items is a hit and miss issue. Looking at the QRF packs that I have opened I can honestly say that I have at least a 50% ratio of items "missing pieces". Now...Your response is good to send the missing pieces, but come on...I mean...when you put the parts for a 100 mm AT gun in the bag, please make sure that the mantlet shield is there...or when you put a tank in the bag, it might be handy to include the gun barrel.
2: Fiddly stuff...On more than one occassion, your items come with so many small "fiddly pieces" as to make it a headache as to where to put what. (Please see my suggestion below)...
3: What goes where?...When you issue a kit with 20 odd pieces, it would be nice for you to have SOME sort of assembly diagram. I am currently attempting to build your MI-24 and am having to rely on photos off of the web, due to your lack of (okay....nonexistant), instrucations and diagrams.
4: Split bags: On occassion I've gone into stores that sell your product to find your bags splitting at the bottom and parts falling out. Please fix.
5: WTF? On occassion I have ordered items, or seen items in a store that I have been interested in, only to NOT buy it due to the fact that the bag holding it was so scratched and scarred that I couldnt see the product, or even make an ID of what it was supposed to be...Example: FOW markets a tank..."GERMAN MK-IV PZKPW "Panther". This was a mid war medium tank with good speed, armor and a main gun. It proved to be a headache for allies.
Simple effective and told what it was.
Now..look at some of your packaging...
GRPZKPFWMVIVA LL/75 or PZKPFM MKIII L/50....
That may be fine IF YOU KNOW what it is that you are looking at....but if you don't you are going to say "WTF?"
That is IF your packages are marked at all...many aren't.
Please please PLEASE QRF....please correct these issues and you will see better and increased sales...they are not that hard...just a little better packaging, and making sure that stuff is there like it's supposed to be.
thanks...

UN situation....should they get bullets?
While it is unclear of what this means to the overall UN mission in Bongolesia, analysts can only say "Good Gawd...it's gonna git worse..."
Next up...local sports scores and the recent issue in Italy involving a 95 year old crossdressing sailor that thinks that he's Mussolini....but first...these words from our sponsor..."

From a friend of mine that just left Bongolesia...
Read on..
Mike;
Sorry for the delay. I'm in Kenya now, and left Sudekia on Tuesday morn; two days after the fighting for Jerryville.
Since net access is restricted in Bongolesia due to the govt, and the lack of technical resources I had to wait until I got to Kenya to send this to you.
Things in Sudekia are not pretty right now. The Govt. is pushing out propaganda of a "minor skirmish" with Rebel Forces in which some of their soldiers were ambushed by rebels while aiding a UN observation force. It's the typical, "Our guys fought to their last bullet" type of heroics.
The biggest issue is the UN casualties. This marks the first UN casualties in Bongolesia and both sides are blaming the other. Rebel Radio says the Govt. did it, and Radio Joe says that the Rebels are trigger happy.
Some folks are a little shaky. Even though Jerryville is pretty far from Sudekia, you can see increased internal security patrols, and army troops inside the city. There's word that there will soon be a counterattack supported by aircraft and heavy armor assets, determined to give the Rebels a major defeat, and gain a solid footing in the propaganda war.
Not much official news is coming out of the Jerryville issue, but I was able to talk to some folks working in a nearby field hospital and they told me that casualties on both sides were actually pretty heavy. Most govt casualties were KIA's due to hits on vehicles, while many of the rebels died from small arms fire.
There is also some worry over at the UN about some of the Europeans and civilians in the town of Jerryville. There was a small group of nuns and a European Family that was helping with agriculture when the the rebels attacked. Their fates are currently unknown.
It's just a confused mess over here with info. Those that do know, aren't talking, and those that don't know are talking too much, and spreading or starting rumors.
I do know that judging from the local reaction and the recent activity around Camp Humptee Dumptee that something big is going to happen, and soon.
I was able to call my wife this morning and she was worried about me. I told her that I would be home by the end of the week. I am going to see if I can get some more info on what's going on here in Kenya before I leave, and I will send it to you.
your buddy;
Jack

Rebel Victory in Bongolesia!!!!
DATELINE: 3 MARCH 2007BONGOLESIA AFRICA: Anti-Govt. Radio announced today of a stunning victory over Govt. Troops in Bongolesia.Though reports are unconfirmed and no govt. statement has been released, Anti Govt. Forces of the Bongolesian African Revolutionary Front (BARF) have declared a major victory against combat forces of the National Defense Forces in the Northwestern Town of Jerryville. It's reported from refugees fleeing the fighting that several vehicles were seen burning, and at least one Government tank was on fire. Those fleeing the fighting also reported heavy weapons fire, including mortars being used by both sides.Jerryville is a small farming town in Northwestern Bongolesia with a small Govt. Administration Facility, and a recently opened "Arnolds Drive Inn", (part of the new Arnolds Fast Food Franchise that has opened in Bongolesia), along with a petrol station, and a market.Local Rebel forces have reported that despite their victory, casualties were higher than expected.....It is now being reported via Rebel Radio via FREE AFRICA RADIO TRANSMISSIONS, (FART), that a team of UN observers were ambushed and killed by Govt. Forces while moving outside of Jerryville.Details are sketchy, but if this is true, then it will be the first time that UN troops have actually been engaged by Govt. Forces, who are usually cordial with them. While official details are still sketchy, radio reports are indicating that Rebel Forces have seized the initiative against the National Govt. Forces."It is the beginning of the end for the dictator." said one of the announcements. "The time is soon coming when no longer can the ostrich put it's head in the sand and the dictator will face the music and the revolution will come to power! With the evident downfall of the dictator, we will liberate the land, ensuring that poverty will be equally distributed among the masses." A rebel spokesman has said that a tour of Jerryville will be available to Outside Media Sources "in a few days", as the area is still "dangerous".We have a team of Eurobabes and film jockeys ready to arrive and report on the current situation. Stay tuned for all further updates on this important event...Now...Back to Dr. Who, or your local regional programming...----------------------------------------------
The entrance to town is crammed with with BARF...Barf on the road...Barf on the ground...Barf everywhere...
"NO WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR A CHEESEBURGER!!!! KEEP MOVING!!!" Rebel forces advance into town...
Govt. Forces with Recon Leading the Way, cheerfully practicing road column movement, head towards town....

Rebel support weapons prepare to engage Govt. Troops, while the smell of cooked pork from the pigs shot by the T-55 lingers in the background...

Despite their efforts (troops in the background), Rebel Forces (suicide bombers), storm the front of the admin building getting ready to blow it sky high!!!
At then end...the death and destruction in Jerryville. Here you can see 1 burning technical, 1 burning scout car, a dead PT-76, burning trucks and a LOT of mayhem as Rebel troops overun the farm and seize the farmer and his family, and their farmhand...The Rebel Leader, (in the bright yellow pimp suit) stands victoriously atop the Govt. Building while the national flag has fallen...
